Kims a La Cart (Korean Snacks/Appetizers)

Kim's a la Cart... what a icon of the Yonge-Finch area. To be quite frank, this food establishment deserves a lot more notoriety and much respect. The flux of the times brings new restaurants to the area, but Kim's a la Cart stays. The stand has likely watched the area grow from its roots. If you have been around long enough, you would have known the store to be in front of the Shopper's Drug Mart on the south-west corner of Yonge and Finch, but now it has moved directly across to the North East corner of Yonge and Finch, close to the Basil Box (which used to be a Scotia Bank -- just going to leave this one here for memory).

In my own humble opinion, we need more street vendors like this along Yonge and Finch. We need more of a street market vibe. It will absolutely draw a lot more people to the area, although, the area is already quite busy.

Here, you can get fish cakes, rice cakes, a pork bulgogi appetizer, chicken skewers, and the famous Kim-Mari. Most things are under $5, and what a good place to get a quick bite to eat after a long night of karaoke at Twister!

But in all seriousness, Kims a la Cart has grown, it now offers UberEats and you can order from the comfort of your own home. Otherwise, you absolutely need to try the Kim-Mari and I would not pass up on the Pork Bulgogi + Beef Dumpling pairing. If you're feeling like spending a couple extra bucks, get the seafood balls - nom nom nom.
